    November 2009 Cyprus Stamps Issue - available now on Pre-Order

    Christmas 2009 stamp issue plus an additional stamp release to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the European Court of Human Rights are available for pre-order now in Cyprus Stamps online shop.

    Pre-order prices are lower than the post issue stamps. Get yours at a lower price right now!

    Pre-orders must be received and paid for on or before 11th November.

    What stamps do I need to send mail from Cyprus?

    If you want to have a reply returned to you from Cyprus or if you intend to send any mail whilst you are on holiday, you should remember that all post sent out of Cyprus must include the obligatory Refugee Fund Tax stamp.

    The current value of this stamp is €0,02c.

    Postage stamps in 2009 are available in the following denominations:

    €0,22c
    €0,26c
    €0,34c
    €0,51c
    €0,68c
    €0,85c
    €1,71c
    €5,13c

    Today sees the 3rd part of the set of Cyprus Through The Ages, available in sets and first day covers. Individual stamps all of same value of €0,43 and featuring: Ayia Paraskevi church - Yeroskipou, Monastery of St John Chrysostom Koutsoventis, The Coat of Arms of theLusignans, History (chronicle) of Leontios Machairas, Caterina Cornaro - Cession of Cyprus to the Venetians, Venetian Walls, Siege of the Ottomans and Larnaca Aqueduct.

    Also, the set of Domestic Fowl of Cyprus - featuring the pigeon, turkey, cock and the duck in sets, sheetlets and on first day covers.

    Vote for the Best Europa Stamp of 2009

    Web viewers are invited to participate to select their favourite EUROPA stamp which this year is on the theme ‘Astronomy’.

    Two persons picked out from those that have selected the winning stamp will be granted special prizes – a full set of the 2009 EUROPA stamp issues!


    Votes are open from 9 May until 8 August. The winning stamp will be announced on 8 October during PostEurop’s Plenary Assembly that will be held in Bled, Slovenia. So try your luck today!
